2018 Jeep Renegade

The 2018 Jeep Renegade is a subcompact crossover SUV that comes in four trim levels. These are Sport, Latitude, Trailhawk, and Limited. From the outside, you'll notice features on the Sport like manually adjustable mirrors and 16-inch steel wheels. You can also add roof rails, alloy wheels, privacy glass, and heated and power side mirrors in packages. The Latitude has a bit more to offer with those optional features, along with automatic headlights, fog lights, and body-color exterior trim. With the Trailhawk comes off-roading features, such as 17-inch wheels outfitted with all-terrain tires, a raised suspension, a full-size spare tire, underbody skid plates, unique exterior accents, and low-range settings for the four-wheel drive system. The luxurious Limited trim boasts silver roof rails, automatic wipers, dual exhaust tips, vinyl door trim, and a windshield wiper de-icer.

The base engine of the 2018 Renegade is a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit, which produces 184 pound-feet of torque and 160 horsepower. This engine works with a six-speed manual transmission as the only option. You can upgrade either of the lower two trim levels to include a 2.4-liter four-cylinder unit, rating at 175 pound-feet of torque and 180 horsepower. The Limited trim comes standard with this engine, which pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

All trim levels of the 2018 Jeep Renegade come with front-wheel drive, except for the Trailhawk, which comes with four-wheel drive with a low-range setting. The other three trim levels are available with four-wheel drive as an optional upgrade. If you choose the turbocharged engine, the EPA fuel economy estimates come in at 24 mpg in the city, 31 mpg on the highway, and 26 mpg combined. The 2.4-liter engine's estimates are 22 mpg in the city, 30 mpg on the highway, and 25 mpg combined.

Choose the base Sport trim level and you'll get features like a height-adjustable driver's seat, a split-folding rear seat, cloth upholstery, a fold-flat passenger seat, and a six-speaker sound system with a 5-inch touch screen, Bluetooth connectivity, and a USB port. The Latitude's cabin adds Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, dual-zone automatic climate control, a larger touch screen, ambient LED interior lighting, nicer upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Trailhawk trim level is meant for off-roading enthusiasts, so it brings all-season floor mats, unique interior accents, vinyl door trim, a 115-volt power outlet, and upgraded upholstery. Finally, the Limited trim tacks on leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable front seats, a heated steering wheel, remote engine, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and an upgraded driver information display.

All 2018 Jeep Renegade models come with a rearview camera, anti-lock brakes, and air bags in the seating area. The optional Safety & Security Group package includes blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic wipers. You can also add the Advanced Technology Group package, which has lane departure warning and mitigation, frontal collision warning with automatic braking, and rear parking sensors.
