Trim Levels
The 2018 Jeep Wrangler is available in two main body styles: two-door and four-door, which the manufacturer refers to as Unlimited. For the two-door style, there are three trim levels. These include Sport, Sport S, and Rubicon. From the outside, the Sport model shows off a fold-down windshield, tow hooks, 17-inch steel wheels, full metal removable doors, a full-size spare tire, manually adjustable side mirrors, skid plates, and fog lights. In the middle of the options, the Sport S trim level has heated side mirrors, automatic headlights, and alloy wheels. Choose the Rubicon for serious off-roading. It's equipped with special all-terrain tires, a heavy-duty front axle, shorter axle gearing, a front roll bar that disconnects electronically, and electronic front and rear locking differentials.
Engine
At this point, Jeep only offers a single engine option in the 2018 Wrangler. This capable 3.6-liter V-6 unit rates at 260 pound-feet of torque and 285 horsepower. The standard transmission is a six-speed manual, although an eight-speed automatic is available as an upgrade. The manufacturer plans to release a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder as an option. A diesel engine is also scheduled to become available in 2019.
