2019 Jeep CompassThe Jeep Compass fits between the compact Renegade and the larger Cherokee in the lineup. In a crowded SUV class, the Compass has features and abilities that make it stand out when it comes to performance and utility. With four main trim levels and two special edition models, there is a lot to consider. Which of these Jeep Compass trim levels is right for you?

The Sport

The Compass Sport starts the lineup with 16-inch wheels, black door handles, and headed side door mirrors. It has cloth upholstery on the seats, dual-zone climate control, and a height-adjustable driver’s seat. Tech features include a 7-inch touch-screen display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 6-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, and both a USB port and an auxiliary input. The Sport comes standard with front-wheel drive and offers all-wheel drive as an option. A rearview camera comes standard.

The Latitude

Stepping up to the Latitude gets you unique 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, automatic headlights, and LED lighting in the cabin. This trim upgrades the interior with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and simulated leather upholstery. The Altitude Special Edition model builds on the Latitude with gloss black exterior trim elements on the exterior badging, 18-inch gloss black wheels, a black interior, and a gloss black roof. The Altitude also offers the option for a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.

The Limited

The Compass Limited has more equipment than any of the other models. It comes with 18-inch wheels and chrome exterior accents. Inside, you’ll get an 8.4-inch touch screen, an upgraded version of the Uconnect infotainment system, satellite radio, and an enhanced information display for the driver. It also has heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and it adds a heated steering wheel. Leather upholstery is another upgrade for the Limited.

The Trailhawk

If you like to head off on adventures on the weekends, then the Trailhawk is the trim for you. This adds off-road features such as a raised suspension, a unique Selec-Terrain system to help it get up and over steep ground, and off-road tires. The Trailhawk also adds red tow hooks, skid plates, and a matte-black hood to make it stand out from the other Compass models.

The High Altitude

The Special Edition High Altitude Compass comes with almost all of the optional equipment available on the other models. It has the Beats stereo system, GPS navigation, and the option for the advanced safety systems. On the outside, there are satin-gloss granite crystal accents on the grille and 19-inch satin granite alloy wheels. Inside, the Uconnect 4C NAV system comes standard.

The Power

All Compass trims get a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 180 horsepower. Front-wheel drive comes standard in all models except the Trailhawk, which only comes with all-wheel drive. Either a six-speed or nine-speed automatic transmission will work with the engine in most cases.

The variety of Jeep Compass models provides buyers with plenty of features and equipment to choose from. Whether you need a commuting vehicle or an off-road adventure vehicle, there is a trim that will work for you. Test drive one today at The Jeep Store in Ocean Township, NJ!
