Ocean Township and its location along the Jersey Shore is a wonderful place to head for a vacation. The Asbury Park Boardwalk
The Asbury Park Boardwalk is a few miles from Ocean Township and offers a clean, family-friendly beach, and a great boardwalk for people watching, shopping, and eating. You can test your mini golf skills at Asbury Eighteen, get wet at the splash park, and get your fortune told by Madame Marie. There are all sorts of stores where you can find unique treasures to bring home and a variety of restaurants ranging from quick and easy pizza to coffee. There’s also an upscale supper club designed to provide the experience of an old-fashioned New York supper club from the 1940s.
Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park
Everyone can spend the day at Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park. In the summer, the beach fills with vacationers who want to swim and play in the surf, but there are also plenty of other activities.
The volleyball area gives you a place to get some exercise, or you can bring a kayak or canoe and launch it from the beach as long as you have a pass. The park stays open all year round, with admission charged from Memorial Day through Labor Day. You can also bring your pet down to the beach during certain times of the year as long as they’re on a leash.
Belmar Parasail
See the Jersey Shore from high above with a Belmar Parasailing experience. You’ll take off from the back of a 31-foot parasail boat and rise up 500 feet over the Atlantic for the ride of your life. This is an activity for vacationers of all ages, and you can even go on a double ride if you want to experience it with a friend. Belmar Parasail will open for the season in May 2019, but you can go online now to get gift certificates if you want to plan ahead for your summer vacation.
Capt. Dave Charter Boats
Take your vacation out on the water with a trip on the Capt. Dave. The 50-foot boat will take riders out to the open waters where they can relax and enjoy the experience or drop a line and try their luck with the fish. Captain Dave will let you fish on both sides of the boat, so you have the best chance to make a big catch. If you need to get out of the sun or just take a break, you can go in the cabin or sit out on the sun deck.
There’s so much to do on vacation in Ocean Township, whether you want to spend time outside or explore the indoor activities. The area starts to come to life in the spring and is always bursting with vacationers in the summer.
