The Stone Pony has earned its place in history as a world-renowned music venue. Established in 1974, it has hosted a wide variety of local acts and well-known national performers. Guest appearances by Bruce Springsteen, members of the E Street Band, Ronny Spector, and Lee Dursely brought The Jukes, Asbury Park, and The Stone Pony to the national spotlight. Springsteen's rendition of "Having a Party" has become the unofficial theme song for the historic venue. The Stone Pony has secured its place in the music industry. As the club's veteran DJ Lee Mrowicki explains (2001), "In order to play at The Pony, you have to have a certain level of talent...No matter how much talent you've got, you have to be recognized by an audience and have people that support you." This expansive outdoor area allows plenty of seaside seating for Summer Stage events. The Stone Pony is a general admission venue, so you will want to arrive early. They have first-come-first-serve bar stools throughout. Otherwise, it's standing room only. All ages are welcome to attend unless otherwise noted, and everyone attending the venue needs their own ticket. You can purchase tickets at The Stone Pony Box Office, Ticketmaster, or Blackbird Presents on Cookman Avenue. Tickets are sold at the door until the event is sold out. Parking Paid parking is available by paying a meter or downloading the Asbury Park Parking app. A few paid parking lots are located on Fourth, Second, and Lake Avenues. Car service or public transport is a great way to avoid the challenges of summer parking in the New Jersey shore area. Food and Drink Outside food and drinks are not permitted. Food service is available until the headliner takes the stage, and drinks are available at several bars throughout the venue. Some Tips to Have Fun in Ocean Township This Fall

Fall is all about relaxation and enjoying the things that we have accomplished throughout the year. Fortunately, there are several different events that are fun for people of all ages happening in Ocean Township. Jenkinson's Boardwalk Starting in 1928 as a soda fountain on the beach, this place quickly turned the small startup into a fun-filled playland. Jenkinson's Boardwalk has plenty to do for everyone. There's a beautiful beach to visit, but there's also an aquarium, which even offers an adopt-an-animal program that allows you to sponsor an aquatic creature and receive photographs and unique plushes. more The attraction has a concession stand complete with a Sweet Shop that's open all year, a built-in amusement park, and plenty of arcades with miniature golf. During fall, many of the attractions at the Boardwalk take on a different appearance, incorporating spooky themes into their rides and Halloween decorations throughout create a festive feeling. Sky Zone As one of the premier indoor trampoline parks, Sky Zone offers plenty of activity to keep the youngsters laughing and jumping for hours. They have a variety of different trampoline courses and events, such as their own Ninja Warrior Course, SkyHoops, SkyJoust, and Ultimate Dodgeball to keep the entire family entertained. They now even offer SkyWars, which is a competition that uses foam balls and a trampoline obstacle course to create a team tournament atmosphere with a game of capture the flag. Township of Ocean Historical Museum For those wanting a more reserved weekend, this historical museum fits the bill. The Revolutionary War-era farmhouse brings history to life as its staff is extremely knowledgeable about the area and will keep your family entertained with tales of local folklore and legends. They offer many curated exhibits that are frequently rotated, so there's always something new and interesting for repeat visits. The Queen Mary Even during the fall, the Queen Mary sets sail for daily fishing expeditions to catch some local aquatic delicacies such as Blues, Alby, Sea Bass, and Porgy. In mid-October, special trips are also made for an attempt to catch Mahi and school tuna. So, if you've ever dreamed of sailing the high seas to pull in your dinner from the ocean, stop in for a treat and sail away into the fall's chillier waters. Autumn is for falling leaves and cooler temperatures, but that doesn't mean that nothing is interesting in Ocean Township. Stop by any of these attractions for some fun that doesn't necessarily involve pumpkins, ghosts, ghouls, or goblins.
