The standard engine gets 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway and can tow an average of 9.850 pounds, which is more than most SUVs in the Grand Wagoneer’s class. Drivers who want a higher-powered engine can opt for the 3.0L Hurricane Twin-Turbo 510 I6. This upgraded engine delivers 510 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque, with a maximum of 9,570 towing pounds. It gets 14 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.
Performance
To ensure a smooth ride for all seven passengers in its roomy cabin, the Grand Wagoneer combines front and rear double wishbone suspension systems with a Quadra-Lift Air Suspension system. A rack-pinion, speed-sensitive steering system enhances driver control and prevents over-steering and under-steering, even off the road. Although the Grand Wagoneer is a large SUV, its finely tuned steering and suspension systems make it surprisingly nimble, with a 19-foot turning radius. While the fuel economy is naturally lower than a smaller car, the Grand Wagoneer’s 26.5-gallon fuel tank allows you to go on several adventures before stopping for gas.

Its three rows of leather-lined seats come in Agave Blue, Tupelo Black, and Global Black. The third-row bench seating folds down entirely, but you can also fold two seats in the row, giving you more control over your seating and luggage. You’ll also get a cargo stowing area behind the third row, so you can use all the seats and still have room for bags.
Standard technology features include UConnect 5, an infotainment system with a 12-inch screen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The passenger dashboard features an available screen, which you can use to display ambient lighting when the screen is engaged. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster makes tracking your speed, gas mileage, and other key driving statistics easy. You can also add the available rear entertainment system, which includes two 10.1-inch displays. These screens work together or individually, allowing passengers to choose their entertainment. Another optional feature, the McIntosh MX1375 Reference Entertainment System, includes 23 speakers.
