The 2019 Dodge Durango is available in seven models: SXT, SXT Plus, GT, GT Plus, Citadel, R/T, and Citadel Anodized Platinum. The SXT, SXT Plus, GT, GT Plus, and Citadel have a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 24-valve VVT engine with ESS under the hood. The R/T and Citadel Anodized Platinum are powered by a 5.7-liter V-8 MDS VVT engine. The 5.7-liter is also available for the Citadel.
The 3.6-liter engine cranks out 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while the more powerful 5.7-liter engine gets 360 horsepower. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Towing Capability
Whether you need to haul your boat or trailer, the Durango is fully capable. It can tow up to 6,200 pounds with the 3.6-liter engine and up to 7,400 with the 5.7-liter Hemi. Trailer sway control is standard equipment on all models and creates a smoother ride. The system adjusts the engine throttle and applies brake pressure as necessary in order to maintain your vehicle’s and trailer’s stability and eliminate sway.
A power liftgate makes it easy to load and unload and comes standard on the GT Plus, Citadel, R/T, and Citadel Anodized Platinum.
Interior
The 2019 Durango’s interior features rich materials and luxurious refinements. Leather-trimmed bucket seats are available on the SXT Plus, GT, GT Plus, and Citadel. Heated front seats are optional on the SXT Plus and standard on the GT, GT Plus, Citadel, R/T, and Citadel Anodized Platinum. Heated second-row seats are optional for the GT Plus, Citadel, R/T, or Citadel Anodized Platinum models and you’ll also find heated second-row seating and a heated steering wheel.
Rear passengers can kick back and watch a movie on the rear DVD entertainment center, which is available in the GT Plus, Citadel, R/T, and Citadel Anodized Platinum models.
Exterior mirrors with turn signals help make others aware of your intentions and come standard on the GT Plus, Citadel, R/T, and Citadel Anodized Platinum trim levels.

Simply press the SRT button on your Uconnect touch screen to access the Dodge Performance Pages where you can select performance options from six categories: Track, Sport, Custom, Auto, Tow, and Snow.
